Sutton Methodist Church has three Sunday services a month at 10.00am, and will join with Long Hanborough once a month at 10.00am. Please see details of services above.
The first Wednesday of every month, 10.00 am – 11.30 am.
This is open to anyone who would like to come and have a chat over tea, coffee and biscuits.
Mondays 10.30 am – 12.30 pm.
We have a drop in knitting morning – all are welcome to come along for all or part of the time to share tea and coffee. Bring your knitting, crochet or any other craft you do and have a natter whilst working.
Tuesdays in term time 7.00 pm – 8.30 pm.
This is a friendly amateur singing group open to all – always happy to have new members. No auditions, if you like singing come and give it a try. We have a lovely Musical Director – Lizzie Soden – who makes it fun and lively. Can pay weekly or termly.
Sunday afternoons 2.30 pm – 4.00 pm
The chapel is also used by the Windrush Fellowship. The fellowship meet for worship, praise and fellowship. The worship is informal and there is lots of singing of contemporary worship songs. If you would like to join in the worship, you would be made very welcome. Refreshments afterwards and time to talk.
There are 8 allotments belonging to the chapel, at the back.
The chapel is set in the centre of the delightful village of Sutton, surrounded by beautiful countryside. If your church or organisation is looking for a peaceful venue for
then Sutton chapel is the ideal place.
There are a number of short circular walks around the village and the chapel is local to the Thames Path.
The chapel itself is light, airy, warm and welcoming.
Seating in the chapel can be rearranged by your group to suit your needs for the day.
There are toilet facilities, kitchen and a schoolroom within the building.
The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, electric kettles, electric cooker, crockery and cutlery.
There is disabled access at the front of the chapel via a ramp and toilet facilities for the disabled.
Take the A415 towards Abingdon. About 3 miles out of Witney turn left at the traffic lights onto the B4449. After 2.4 miles turn right at the first roundabout and then first left. The chapel is about 400 yards on the right hand side.
Take the A40 towards Cheltenham. At Eynsham turn left at the roundabout onto the B4449. Follow this road for 3.0 miles until you reach Sutton. Go through Sutton and turn left at the roundabout and then first left. The chapel is about 400 yards on the right hand side.
