Long Hanborough Chapel was built in 1885. For many years it has been the centre of the village. We work closely with the other Methodist chapels in the Section, particularly Freeland, North Leigh and Sutton. We have close links with our Anglican friends and often share joint services with them. Our congregation is of mixed ages and Junior Church is held every Sunday alongside the normal services. The congregation takes seriously its responsibility to witness for Christ in the village and outreach to all.

As well as Sunday services (see above), a midweek communion service is held in the Chapel on the first Thursday of each month at 10.00 am. This service is usually led by our own minister, Rev'd Paul Weir. Everyone is welcome.

Every Friday in term-time, the successful Cornerstone Coffee Shop welcomes a mixture of customers some church-goers and some not. It is an excellent outreach to the community. The Chapel houses various groups. The local ballet class and village choir meet in the church hall.

The key Methodist contact in Hanborough is Gill Breakspear 01993 883914. The Minister is Rev'd Paul Weir, who is also Superintendent Minister for the Witney and Faringdon Circuit.
