What you can expect on retreat
How have you sensed the presence of God? Perhaps in prayer or on a walk, in the face of a new born baby or though the kindness of a stranger. The disciples were shown the risen Christ through all their senses.
In this post Easter retreat we will use all our senses in prayer. We will walk with Jesus and hear His story. We will sit with Jesus and tell our story and we will travel the Emmaus Road together.
There will be several led sessions with the time between sessions intended for you to continue with your own thoughts and prayers, so we offer each other the gift of silence — uninterrupted by mobile phones, email ...
On Saturday everyone will have the opportunity for a one-time with a spiritual guide. In this time you can talk about what is going on within you, how it is with you and God, or anything else.... whatever you choose to say will be in complete confidence.
There will be ideas for you take away that will hopefully help you as you continue to experience God in your everyday life.
This is an ecumenical retreat, you are welcome whatever your journey of faith has taken you. Perhaps you are searching or wanting to deepen your faith or simply quiet time away from it all.
There are local country walks (any maybe early bluebells), self-service meals, single bedroioms, led prayers, the opportunity to join with the Community for some of their sung Offices, the change to 'play' with arty/crafty materials, time to sit and ponder or just to be be open to God....
